The Vendor Fair is Back!!

Saturday, May 6th, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Beaverton YMCA located at 9685 SW Harvest Ct, Beaverton OR (just south of Portland)
(about ½ mile off 217 and Allen, in a separate building with kitchen, bathrooms and plenty of parking).

Our last Vendor Fair was in 2019, so let’s make this a good one!  This is a member-only event, so make sure you have renewed your membership beforehand.  If you have friends interested in glass, bring them. But remember to have them join the Guild right away.  You can renew or join at the door, but it will delay entry into the Fair.

So far, we have 7 tables reserved, and we’re still working to see if more Sponsors can participate.

I’ve already started receiving the donations (over $1,500 in prizes committed so far).

• See the latest in glass art and supplies
• Get in on special pricing or other offers from Sponsors
• Potluck dinner begins at 6:00 – sit and eat or keep shopping, it’s up to you

Watch your Classifieds for more details about the Vendor Fair!

The Vendor Fair is always a great time, so I hope you’ll come out to support our Sponsors and find some awesome glass, supplies, advice and just have fun!

Just so we have an idea of how much food we’ll need, please let me know if you plan to attend the Vendor Fair: Linda Gerrard

  • Kiln Casting with Michael Diamond

This Sunday Jan 25th at 3:30 pm General meeting via Zoom: Join glass artist Michael Diamond for a presentation and discussion about the kiln casting process starting with mold creation. As many of Michael’s art sculptures integrate wood, stone, and metal components, he will share how he develops these connections and ensures a seamless flow with glass.

Michael lives in Kamilche, Washington and is fascinated by the processes of erosion, growth, geologic formation and the stories told by stones, fossils and archeological remnants unearthed from buried strata. The beauty of natural processes and the shapes of water always have influenced his art. Visit https://www.soundartglassworks.com to view Michael’s artwork.
