April 18 via Zoom: General Meeting Mosaics with Mark Brody, Kory Dollar
April 18, 2021 @ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm
Pacific Time: Zoom
Join us this coming Sunday, April 18th at 2PM for a wonderful presentation about the world of mosaic glass art. We have two well regarded local mosaic artists on hand to present lots of great information and to answer your questions.
Kory Dollar will present her Glass on Glass technique, the use of adhesives and she will talk about her studio and upcoming classes.

Mark Brody will focus on Garden Mosaic, the Peaks and the Troughs. He will go through which materials are best, and why others will fail over time. He will also introduce his tile sources, where to get the proper materials, and why they work best for exterior works. Most importantly he will introduce 2 methods of mosaic to get any project started. Lastly, he will offer two great ways to get into mosaics: his At-home Mosaic Kits and his Summer Mosaic workshop schedule. Learn mosaics on your own or take a class with Mark Brody
All are welcome. Go to the website for information. Here’s the Zoom link
Looking for WordPress Webmaster
Help the Guild nurture the glass community and learn something at the same time. Our webmaster manages the website’s technical resources and behaviors (in the “back end”) that support the messages and content (on the “front end”). The actual content is created and managed by the members of various organizational teams of volunteers. You need basic familiarity with the WordPress back-end and ability to follow the WordPress release notes and comments to decide when to apply an upgrade. You don’t need to know it ALL already because the creator of the website is willing to provide a bit of free coaching. More details here
And other volunteers
If you don’t have the WordPress background but want to help our glass community in some capacity there are several other teams that could use whatever skills you have. Some tasks are about 4 hours a month and some may be up to 4 hours a week, most offer interaction with other team members (an important and fun contact during these Covid times): Facebook group moderator, Mailchimp audience manager, Zoom manager, glass arts writer, events poster, teaching and helping members post on the website (web-help team) and more. Training provided.
See https://www.pnwglassguild.org/about-the-guild/committees/ and contact one of the team members or fill out the form on the page.
