Your privacy is very important to us. At Pacific Northwest Glass Guild, (herein referred to as The Guild) we have a few fundamental principles that we follow:

  • We don’t ask you for personal information unless we truly need it. 
  • We don’t share your personal information with anyone except to comply with the law, develop our Newsletter or Subscription lists, and protect our rights.
  • We don’t store personal information on our servers unless required for the on-going operation of our site.
  • We DO NOT store Credit Card information on our servers. Third party credit card services and servers are utilized for these transactions.

It is The Guild’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.


Website Visitors

Like most website operators, The Guild, collects non-personalized information of the type of web browser used, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitors request. We collect this data to better understand how our visitor use our site. 

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to The Guild’s website choose to interact with the Guild in ways that require The Guild to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that The Guild gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example:

  • We ask visitors who wish to receive our Newsletters and email lists to provide their name and email address.
  • Members who wish to be included in the “Members’ Gallery” must enable that option on the “Privacy” tab in their “My Account” page. 
  • Guild members who wish to receive our Guild emails may opt in on the“Email Prefs” in the “My Account” page.
  • ONLY logged in users can see the “Member Contacts List”. Guild members use this information to locate and contact one another.

Gathering of Statistics

The Guild collects statistics about the behavior of visitors to our website. We monitor the most popular posts and use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. We may share this information in a report but never with identifying information.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

The Guild discloses potentially personally identifying information only to members and leadership affiliated with our organization who have the need to know that information in order to process it on The Guild’s behalf or to provide services to our Guild members. The Guild will not rent or sell potentially personalized information to anyone. Other than our members The Guild will only provide potentially personal identifying information only in response to a subpoena, court order or other governmental request or when The Guild believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of The Guild, third parties or the public at large. The Guild takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a website stores on a visitor’s computer, and that the visitor’s browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. The Guild uses cookies to help The Guild identify and track visitors, their usage of The Guild’s website, and their website access preferences. The Guild visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using The Guild’s websites, with the drawback that certain features of The Guild’s websites may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Business Transfers

If The Guild mergers or transfer its assets in the unlikely event that we go out of existence, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by another party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer or merger of The Guild may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Although most changes are likely to be minor, The Guild may change its Privacy Policy from time to time, and at The Guild’s sole discretion. The Guild encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy.
