Were you there?

There was lots of amazing glass for sale during Refract, the big annual October glass celebration in the Seattle area which just finished. The Bainbridge Artisans Resource Network (BARN) asked us how many of our members attended their Refract event last Saturday (Oct.19). That lead us to also wonder how many members went on the PNW Glass Guild sponsored Glass And Decor Studio Tour last weekend (Oct 19-20, also a Refract event) or any of the other Refract events.

Please let us know well are we getting the word out about glass:

Special Opportunity for Glass Guild Members to get Christmas Ornaments Cut by Portland Waterjet

Special Opportunity for Glass Guild Members to get Christmas Ornaments Cut by Portland Waterjet

Carlyne Lynch has worked with Portland Waterjet and designed seven ornaments to fit on the 24”x24” pieces of Tetka that are 50% off at Bullseye through August.  The shapes can be made into ornaments, but they are also great suncatchers and have many uses. They are a heart, star, circle, stocking and three hard to cut items. They have been designed with holes and rounded ends to make them less brittle.

If you are interested, all you must do is order a sheet of Tekta from Bullseye and let them know it is for Portland WaterJet again – 50% off this month). Call Niko at Portland WaterJet and tell him you have a sheet with your name on it at Bullseye and he will pick it up and cut your sheet. The texta sheet is 24″ x 24″ and he has laid out 58 ornaments on the sheet. They will run these for $107.

Some people are having it run on a one-half sheet of white and Niko is laying that out for us. If you want to split a sheet call Carlyne and she will pair you up with another. DO NOT ask Portland Waterjet to do the splitting – instead please contact Carlyne and ask her to set it up for you.

If you have glass already call Niko at 202-476-9939 and drop it by. Portland Waterjet is located 1 block from Bullseye at 3383 SE 21st Ave, Portland.

Also, Portland WaterJet is also hosting us for a tour and talk at our September 29th Zoom and in-person meeting from 3:30 pm – 5 pm. This hybrid event will be a great way to connect with other guild members and take advantage of this opportunity
