Over the next two weeks, you will have several chances to find a pot of glass at the end of the rainbow, so check out these events, and we hope to see you!

March 18 – Sherlocking in Fairview, OR – bring something to eat and a recent glass challenge or success to discuss with fellow glass artists.

March 22 – General Meeting on Zoom – learn from talented artist Andrew Jagel about the hidden power of contrast in art.

March 28 – Vendor Fair in Redmond, WA – shop for glass, meet vendors and watch demos, and share lunch with other glass artists at Northwest Art Glass.

March 29 – NEW Class! Silicone Mold Making in Seattle, WA – join glass artist Stephanie Johnston to learn how to make custom silicone molds that can be used for multiple firings. Space is very limited, so be sure to register right away.

Bullseye Glass Company is inviting members of the Pacific Northwest Glass to a viewing on Saturday, October 25^th from 2-4 pm at the Bullseye Gallery at 1308 NW Everett in Portland. This viewing will be of their Employee Working Glass Exhibition in the Bullseye Gallery, and Bullseye will provide some beverages and light snacks. This is an amazing opportunity to see and experience the amazing creativity of all of Bullseye employees. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Lesley Kelly as soon as possible so we can notify Bullseye of the number of guild members they can expect.

The entry door is in the middle of the block on NW 13^th between the furniture stores JoyBird and Room & Board. We will have a Bullseye sign in the street by the door. Enter and take the elevator in the hallway to the second floor.”

What is your most unusual shaping tool? What’s the best firing schedule to use for it? What is Silkymat and how do you use it? What can you use your fired Thinfire for? This is a show and tell of things you’ve tried that worked and those that didn’t. Please contact VP Rachel Dollar to get in the speaker line up (it makes things run so much smoother to know who to call on next). Kiln Carving

Join us on May 5th as speakers Greta Schneider, Rae Williamson and Carlyne Lynch share the process of kiln carving, which involves cutting a pattern or design in ceramic fiber paper and stacking glass on top of the pattern and firing the piece in a kiln.

Due to a technical glitch, our credit card reader ceased functioning properly from Saturday at 12:45 pm until Sunday at 4 pm. We kindly ask that if you purchased glass vitrigraph, glue, tools or pendants during these times, you check your charge statement and reach out to us if you were not charged for your purchase all charged did not go through between times indicated.
