  • Reminder: RSVP to the PNWGG Holiday Party in Portland by Monday

The Portland area Holiday Party is coming up fast: Saturday Dec 7th at Linda Gerrard’s in Beaverton. The fun begins at 5:00 PM and goes until about 9:00 PM.
(There’s also a potluck Holiday Brunch Dec. 15th in Seattle)

This is a not-to-be-missed event! We have an awesome potluck dinner with Linda Gerrard preparing the main course (and probably a few other things). The appetizer, salad, side dishes, libations and desserts are brought by the members in attendance. Believe me when I say, you won’t go home hungry!

Not only will you be treated to an amazing meal, there is also a very fun gift exchange. You spend no more than $25.00 for the gift, everyone randomly selects a number and the fun begins. Don’t get too attached to your awesome gift because it just might get stolen.

Please RSVP to Linda at pnwggholidayparty@gmail.com no later than Monday November 25th to get the address and additional details.

  • The Vendor Fair is Back!!

Saturday, May 6th, 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM
Beaverton YMCA located at 9685 SW Harvest Ct, Beaverton OR (just south of Portland)
(about ½ mile off 217 and Allen, in a separate building with kitchen, bathrooms and plenty of parking).

Our last Vendor Fair was in 2019, so let’s make this a good one!  This is a member-only event, so make sure you have renewed your membership beforehand.  If you have friends interested in glass, bring them. But remember to have them join the Guild right away.  You can renew or join at the door, but it will delay entry into the Fair.

So far, we have 7 tables reserved, and we’re still working to see if more Sponsors can participate.

I’ve already started receiving the donations (over $1,500 in prizes committed so far).

    • See the latest in glass art and supplies
    • Get in on special pricing or other offers from Sponsors
    • Potluck dinner begins at 6:00 – sit and eat or keep shopping, it’s up to you

Watch your Classifieds for more details about the Vendor Fair!

The Vendor Fair is always a great time, so I hope you’ll come out to support our Sponsors and find some awesome glass, supplies, advice and just have fun!

Just so we have an idea of how much food we’ll need, please let me know if you plan to attend the Vendor Fair: Linda Gerrard

    General Meeting
    September 28, 2025 @ 3:30-5:00pm. Pacific Time : Via Zoom

“Sharing and Sherlocking” is a phrase used to describe a meeting where participants can present their work, seek feedback, and brainstorm new ideas.

    • Sharing: This part of the meeting is a platform for participants to showcase projects they’ve been working on, share their accomplishments, or demonstrate a new technique they’ve learned.
    • Sherlocking: This term refers to the process of solving a problem or a challenge. In this context, it’s an interactive session where members can present a problem they’re trying to solve and receive input, advice, and creative solutions from the group. The name is a playful nod to Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective.
    • You can email photos in advance to Barb to share if you’re not able to present it yourself.
