3D Garden Mosaic Class, Portland, OR

Register today for a unique class by PNW Glass Guild member Mark Brody. He will demonstrate the Direct-Method of mosaic to give a statue a whole new life! (Direct-Method places the individual tile directly in mortar on the surface of the form). Bonus: Mark will share special cutting tricks to create the feather-patterning look. And you can use a glass tumbler to soften the edge of cut glass for a smoother surface touch.

Mark’s studio is in SE Portland. You will meet him a week prior to the class to choose a concrete form of your choice from his favorite garden statuary store, Little Baja in Portland.

Size: similar to the Blue Footed Booby in the photo – 22 x 8 x 10”. This project might not get fully completed in class, but you will be able to complete it on your own at home. Cost is $290.
