President’s Message
March 2026
Hello PNWGG Members!
It is an exciting time for our Guild as we move into a season of growth and renewed energy! Our Board and various committees have been hard at work behind the scenes to ensure 2026 is one of our best years yet.
Board Activity & Budget Update: The Board has been focused on fortifying our foundation. We’ve recently updated our Policies and Procedures, and we are currently refining our Board job descriptions to ensure we operate as effectively as possible for you.
The Budget Subcommittee has also finalized a solid 2026 Budget Proposal which we will review at our upcoming Board meeting on Monday, March 2nd. We are looking at a bright financial future with plans to invest over $2,600 of our cash reserves directly back into Guild growth, specifically to expand our workshop and education opportunities. We are also excited to see our membership growing, with a goal of continuing to increase members this year!

Gathering of the Guilds (GOTG) & Vendor Fair: Planning for our hallmark event, Gathering of the Guilds, April 24-26th, is in full swing! We are projecting a vibrant event. Tables are going fast, so grab yours. See details on our website. Additionally, we’ve been working on the Vendor Fair in Seattle on March 28th; thanks to the great work of our team! Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to discover unique glass art and support our talented community!
Looking Ahead – Workshops & Studio Tours: Get your glass ready! We have three workshops planned for the year with increased funding to bring in fantastic instructors. Our Studio Tours in September and October for Oregon and Washington are also on the horizon, with the goal of increased artist participation.
A Call to Our Community: Everything we achieve is thanks to the incredible volunteers who step up to lead. From our budget committee to our event coordinators, your time and talent are what make the PNWGG shine. We have several fun opportunities coming up and we would love to have your hands and hearts involved. If you’ve been looking for a way to give back to the glass community, now is the perfect time! Contact me to find out more.
I look forward to seeing many of you at our upcoming events. Let’s make 2026 a year of incredible art and even better community!
Upward and onward,
Barb Kienle President, Pacific Northwest Glass Guild
